Kilt Hire FAQs
Like all Kilt Hire facilities, we only have hire kilts available in a specific range of tartans. As much as we would love to, it is simply not possible or feasible to have hire kilts in all tartans. We have kilts available in the following tartans:
- Black Watch
- Campbell of Argyle Ancient
- Gunn Modern
- Hebridean Granite
- Lindsay Modern
- Scottish Thistle

Please note, we cannot get a hire kilt in a tartan not listed above.
For weekend hire, items can be collected anytime after 9am on a Wednesday morning and returned on a Tuesday morning. Note we are closed on a Sunday and a Monday.
Our standard adult package includes:- a kilt (choice of 16 tartans), kilt jacket (either Prince Charlie with a 3 button waistcoat or Crail with 5 button waistcoat in black or charcoal), sporran (either dress or semi dress), ghillie brogues, hose (cream, black charcoal or Navy) flashes, kilt pin, kilt belt, dress shirt (white or Black), tie (various options), cuff links and an imitation sgian dubh.
There are also extras that can be ordered – for more details please visit our hire section.
Our standard boys package includes:- a kilt (choice of 16 tartans), Crail kilt jacket (either black or charcoal), semi-dress sporran, black ghillie brogues, hose(cream, black, charcoal or Navy) & flashes, kilt belt, dress shirt (wing or standard collar) and either a black bow tie or a standard tie in various colours.
The whole package is returned.
NB: We do all laundering of items.
Yes, most items are available for hire on their own or we can do partial packages if you have some items of your own.
